Windows 10 Availability and Support:
Microsoft released its new Windows 10 operating system for commercial customers on July 29, 2015. The educational version is not yet available. Compatibility with university systems and software is not yet known; therefore, we do not recommend installing or updating to Windows 10 on primary UMD work computers at this time. The Division of IT Help Desk will begin support of Windows 10 after there has been time for testing and documentation. We will announce availability and instructions about how to obtain Windows 10 soon after.
Adobe Acrobat Download Licenses Expire June 1:
If you have downloaded Adobe Acrobat XI Pro through TERPware for your institutional or personal computer, the license will expire Monday, June 1. Adobe Creative Cloud subscriptions are available at www.terpware.umd.edu. It is recommended that customers switch to that service and upgrade to Adobe Acrobat DC. Adobe Creative Cloud subscriptions also offer access to numerous other updated Adobe offerings. For computers that are not managed by the individual, IT administrators may download the Acrobat XI Professional Acrobat Re-serialization from TERPware. This package will re-serialize Acrobat XI for use until February, 26 2016. If you have any questions, please contact the Help Desk at 301.405.1500.
